Web Design, Fort Smith, AR

Website DesignThere are a couple of ways that we can develop a website for you:

Static:

This is the less expensive of your options. Using Open Web Standards (XHTML, HTML5, CSS, Javascript) we create you a site that will not change over time. Content can not be edited by a "normal" user, they must have knowledge in the aforementioned web standards. This is useful if you don't have anything to change on a regular basis. All static sites come with 6 months of "basic" editing of content included in the price.

Content Management Systems (CMS):

This type of site will easily be able to change over time. A typical user can login and using word processor style controls being able to create, edit, and delete pages (articles). They include the ability to interact with the community (viewers of the website). Normal users are able to add images and other content to the pages. Training on how to edit articles is included in the price. Depending on your needs (we will discuss these when we meet) we will use one of the following CMSs:

  • Joomla (Our preferred system)
  • Drupal
  • Wordpress
  • Silverstripe
These are all built on open web standards and are also open source programs. Due to the complexity of the underlying system but also due to the FLEXIBILITY, this is the higher cost solution.

HelpHow do we get started with the process of building a site?

The process is really very easy:

  1. You call or email us and we set up a meeting either at your office or ours.
  2. We discuss the purpose of the site and what is wanted on the site. (At which EPS will have a proposed look for the website)
  3. Based off of that meeting, we will estimate the length of time to complete the project and the price of the overall project.
  4. Any content that is needing incorporated into the website will be submitted.
  5. We then write up a very basic and simple contract.
  6. EPS begins building the site immediately and will keep the customer abreast of current status with progress reports.
  7. The site is presented to the customer for inspection.
  8. The site then goes live on the web.
*We can convert PSD (Photoshop) files to a usable web site.
